LEGO®Up!

legogroup

Ross Dalziel worked with Angela Cowan at FACT and a group of young people, the DaDa group, formerly NWDAF (North West Disability Arts Forum)  to produce a collection of 3D models made of lego in Google SketchUp and Google Earth

You can see our models made of sketchup lego here at the Google 3DWarehouse.

This is a project that enables FACT to develop work with disabled young people, strengthening their networks with relevant organisations and offers new media and access opportunities to young people.

Aims and Objectives:

  • To introduce young people to the creative possibilities open to them within New Media.
  • To empower them to identify areas of interest and lead their own learning.
  • To build their confidence in the field of New Media.
  • To encourage career aspirations and training in the arts and cultural industries sector for disabled/deaf young people.
  • To encourage a long-term creative partnership between NWDAF and FACT.
  • To build young people’s confidence and self-esteem through acknowledging their achievements and building their work into future planning.
